How to Apply

Prospective Applicants for September 2024 In-take

Thank you for your interest. If you are applying to Salesian College, our deadline for September 2024 in-take was Friday 15th December 2023. Due to the high volume of applications, our online application form has now closed.

External applicants will be invited to attend a meeting with a member of Leadership Team on Tuesday 12th March between 4.30pm – 7.30pm. Please note due to the large number of applicants, as well as the planning and preparation involved, it would be much appreciated if candidates could attend at the time allocated to them.

All internal and external applicants who submitted their form before the deadline will receive further correspondence in due course and will also be invited to attend the ‘Into College Day’ (Taster Day) on Wednesday 13th March, when students will be given the opportunity to experience a full day at Salesian College as well as test drive the four courses they have chosen on their application. Following the taster day, students will be given a fortnight to login to their applications and change their subjects. Successful applicants will then receive a conditional offer based on their final four course choices.

If you have any further questions relating to admissions, please contact Mrs Sherillyn Bullock, our College Manager either by email sbullock@salesian.surrey.sch.uk or on 01932 578681.

16-19 Bursary Fund & Free School Meals

The new 16-19 Bursary fund is designed to help support those young people who face the greatest barriers to continuing in education or training post 16. Bursary funds are to be used to help pay for the costs related to participation in full-time education, such as the costs of transport, equipment, books, travel, exam costs, trips, and visits. Some payments may be applied for, of an ad hoc nature, to cover expensive school trips, etc but each will be looked at on an individual basis.

Further information is given on the application form.

Bursary Application16-19 Bursary Fund Policy

As in Years 7 to 11, students in the college may be eligible for Free School Meals funding. This not only helps parents in saving a large amount of money on school dinners, particularly during these tough financial times, but it is also has a financial benefit to the school. All schools receive funding called ‘Pupil Premium’ which is calculated based on the number of children on roll receiving Free School Meals, enabling provisions for extra in-class support, targeted intervention, additional resources, and subsidised school trips for children entitled to free school meals.

Full information and application form can be found on the catering page.
