Recruitment Opportunities

Working at Salesian

Although the school is currently closed due to the coronavirus situation, we are still actively recruiting for September. During this period, please continue to address any enquiries regarding vacancies to Pippa Carr as detailed below. Whilst we are unable to follow our normal recruitment processes, we will be conducting interviews online and we would welcome the opportunity to have a preliminary discussion with any candidate who may be interested in joining the team at Salesian.
Welcome to Salesian! Like any successful organisation, we rely on recruiting, developing and retaining the very best people to ensure that all that we do continues to be recognised as first-class by the community we serve.

Salesian is first and foremost a school but beyond that, we are a multi-faceted organisation that delivers teacher training, professional development and school-to-school support. We are part of the Xavier Catholic Education Trust and lead a large network of schools through our Teaching School Alliance. In order to deliver on all these responsibilities, we are always looking to meet new people who may be interested in joining our team.

The minimum requirement to work with us is to be energetic, enthusiastic, to have a “can-do” attitude and to be passionate about doing whatever it takes to ensure that the children we serve get the best possible education. Beyond that you will need to demonstrate the potential to be excellent at what you do and whilst you don’t have to be Catholic to work with us, you certainly have to be supportive of everything we stand for and aspire to.

If that sounds like you, please know that Salesian is a great place to work. Our staff are our greatest asset; everything we achieve is down to their hard work and dedication and we therefore ensure that they are very well looked after. It doesn’t matter what your role is in the organisation, if you work at Salesian you will be truly valued. Everything we do at Salesian is based on great working relationships and it is important to us that staff are happy in their work, this means that they are challenged but well-supported and rewarded and they are given plenty of opportunities for development and career progression.

If you are interested in any of the vacancies currently advertised or you want to find out more about possible career opportunities at Salesian that might suit you, please contact the Headteacher’s PA at or 01932 582522
