On Thursday 21st March, we attended the Runnymede Sportability Festival at Royal Holloway University. Salesian took 11 students; Chantelle Oseni, Max Manning, Owen Taylor, Mia Bergin, Mia Baker, Nicholas Samuel, Alex Matos, Yasmin Davis, T-J Tipper, Alitica Tottem, and Orlando Smith, all with a mixture of needs. The day was full of all-inclusive sports and the students had the opportunity to get involved in a number of different activities including; cage cricket, wheelchair basketball, tennis, and football. We all had a fantastic day full of fun, laughter and some excellent progress in the skills involved for the sports. All the students that attended should be proud of themselves; they each faced a challenge either physically, emotionally or socially by taking part in the day. We are all looking forward to attending the festival again next year!
