Salesian Governors Fund

The challenges faced by schools in terms of funding are well documented and Salesian is no exception. We are constantly striving to improve our facilities at the School and College to deliver an excellent educational experience for all our young people.

The Salesian Governors Fund is a ring-fenced fund used to support the very best learning and teaching for your child in well-resourced classrooms. In recent years the fund has supported the delivery of a dedicated exam space, new music and drama classrooms, an outdoor seating/recreation area and most recently has made a significant contribution to the costs of our brand new Sports Hall at Guildford Road. This stand-alone fund is held by the School Governors and I hope you may wish to be a regular contributor to the fund.

We regard all funds as the “children’s money” and I can assure you that any contribution will help ensure that your child has the very best environment and facilities in which to learn and develop. The money that you gift us will make a huge difference to the students at the school and is kept separate from day-to-day expenditure on staffing and resources.

If you are in a position to contribute, the easiest way to make a contribution is via a regular standing order to our Governors Fund account through your electronic banking, using the details below:

Bank: Barclays
Account name: Salesian School
Sort Code: 20-90-56
Account No: 70827266

It would help hugely if you could please reference your standing order with the year you child would have been in Year 7 at Salesian (even if they started after year 7) and your child’s surname; So for students in current Year 7, this would be, for example 23Gower, for students in current Year 10, 20Gower and for students in current Year 12, 18Gower.

Alternatively, you can make a one-off payment using the same details or send a cheque made payable to “Salesian School Governors Fund” and sent to Clare Smith, Finance Officer.

In addition, there is a simple way that you can ensure your donation has an even bigger impact. If you are a UK taxpayer, please could also take a few minutes to complete this Gift Aid form, so that we can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift. This means that the school gets an additional 25% on top your donation(s), at no additional cost to yourself.

In order for the School to be able to claim Gift Aid, please return your completed Gift Aid form by email to csmith@salesian.surrey.sch.uk or hand in to the School Reception FAO Clare Smith, Finance Officer.

Thank you very much for your support,

Fr. John Dickson
